GlassHe tipped the glass, letting the last of the bourbon drip out. It splashed against the table and was quickly absorbed by the thick silk cloth leaving only a faint brown stain. With the glass now empty, its purpose served, he hurled it across the room. A satisfying crash accompanied the shattering glass as it hit the wall. He smiled. AwakeAll I could see was darkness, if that really counts as seeing anything. There was a slight hum in the darkness, a murmur. Bad Cat1:25am I woke up to the sound of an idle motor; at least I thought it was a motor. It sounded like it was in my room, on my bed. Slowly I opened my eyes and blinked a few times. There was a large black fuzzy object near my chest; it was the source of the horrible motor sound.Bad Cat

The cat didn’t move, he pretended like he didn’t hear. I swatted at him with my pillow, but he just swatted back. Somehow during the attempt to shoo him off the bed he managed to lie down on my chest and begin his ragged purr motor again.
